How does dandruff occur?

Dandruff is a frequent nuisance which arises when shedded-off layers of the scalp are trapped in the hair accompanied by white scaly flakes and, in many instances, unpleasant itching as well.

Dandruff can be caused by a variety of illnesses and conditions, among which the most common is what is known as seborrheic dandruff. Data shows that dandruff affects every second man and a large number of women. Today we still do not know all the contributory factors which influence the onset of dandruff, but excessive perspiration, androgen hormones, stress, mental tension, an inherited predisposition, certain medicines and the Pityrosporum ovale fungus all play an important part as far as this condition is concerned. It is not usually difficult to recognise the symptoms of dandruff, the more mild forms of which we can treat on our own. However, for the more stubborn types of dandruff it's necessary to more precisely look into the causes of the onset of the dandruff and a visit to the dermatologist is recommended.

How often should we use the mentioned products?

ZWith the Subrina Recept products we solve different stages of the problem which is why, in this instance, the use of different products is also appropriate. Regarding the easier forms of dandruff and whenever we want to prevent its formation, we regularly use one of the Subrina Recept shampoos, taking hair type and requirement into account.

In order to get rid of the more severe forms of dandruff, we undertake a one-month treatment using a combination of the shampoo and the lotion:
Once a week, before washing the hair, evenly apply one ampule of Subrina Recept INTENSIVE PLUS anti-dandruff lotion to dry hair, rub it into the scalp and leave for 20-30 minutes to take effect. Afterwards, wash the hair using Subrina Recept INTENSIVE anti-dandruff shampoo and then, after having washed the hair, use Subrina Recept INTENSIVE anti-dandruff lotion, which you apply evenly to washed hair, rub it in and do not rinse it out. Following this final process, you then style the hair. This combination of all three Subrina Recept INTENSIVE products is already exceptionally effective after only four weeks' use. If you wash your hair on a frequent basis each week then, after each successive wash, use only one of the Subrina Recept shampoos.

After having successfully got rid of dandruff, we continue to use one of the Subrina Recept shampoos. We also recommend the use of Subrina Recept anti-dandruff shampoo as a preventative measure, even if you are not aware of the appearance of dandruff.
