As much as possible you should use colours which care for the hair. Subrina Saten hair colours are gentle and look after the hair; they intensively colour your hair and simultaneously richly care for the hair. Furthermore, thanks to the active ingredient creatine, your hair also stays beautiful, gleaming and cared for after colouring.
Colouring is a chemical process which takes place on our hair and with which we can completely change, or merely tint, our natural hair colour. For colouring hair we need a colour cream which we mix together with a colour developer. The main ingredient of colour cream is what are known as colour intermediates, organic chemical compounds, which by themselves are colourless. They only produce the desired hair colour after we mix the colour cream with the colour developer. Mutually, under the influence of the developer, they react chemically in the inside of the hair and form coloured complexes which, because of their size, remain caught in the inside of the hair and cause our hair to change colour. Besides colouring pigments, colour cream also contains ammonia which causes the hair to swell and opens the hair epidermis (so that the colour pigments can penetrate through into the inside of the hair). After the final colouring we use as gentle a shampoo as possible with which we wash out any remaining colour from the surface of the hair and then a regenerator is applied. The regenerator looks after the hair in such a way that the hair epidermis closes, thus ensuring that our new hair colour will be even longer lasting.

Special blonde shades, in contrast to normal blonde shades, are intended for extremely strong lightening of natural hair colour. Your hair will be lightened by up to 3-4 shades and they are suitable for lightening dark blonde, medium blonde, light blonde and very light blonde natural shades. Due to their lightening capability, we use them in combination with a high percentage of colour developer. As well as the standard blonde pigments in their composition, they also contain blue or violet colour pigments, which help to neutralise any orange or yellow tones which can arise during the course of hair lightening.

We recommend that you use hair lightening products. Your natural hair colour is too dark to use special blonde shades, so first of all you need to lighten your hair and only then can you tint the hair. For this purpose we recommend that you use Subrina Satin caring cream for lightening hair, which will gently lighten your hair and also care for the hair during the lightening process. In the event that your hair contains more natural red pigment, after lightening and in order to neutralise any yellow tones, we recommend that you use one of the special shades in the Subrina Saten hair colours range.

In recent times hair colours have been the topic of much controversy and discussion, mainly because of the colouring substances which colour the hair and for which it is extremely important that they don't cause any damage or harm to health. Precisely for this reason institutions responsible for the supervision of health-related suitability of cosmetic ingredients, have made the decision to thoroughly examine all the colouring substances which are used in hair colouring products. They thoroughly check each one of the colouring substances and find out about its potential effect on the health of the consumer. On the basis of the results, European as well as Slovenian legislation is changing in the field of prohibited colouring substances which are used in hair colouring products.
Subrina Saten, Subrina Charm and Subrina Colour Cream are colours which do not contain prohibited substances.

The reason that red shades wash out more quickly is due to the nature of the red pigments. These particular molecules, after they have combined with the colour complexes in the inside of the hair, are somewhat smaller than the other colour complexes, so they therefore pass out more easily from the inside of the hair. The consequence of which is that red colour washes out more quickly. Manufacturers of colouring substances and hair colours are continually developing new red pigments which are more intensive and longer-lasting.
With new colour pigments, the red shades in the hair colour ranges of Subrina Saten, Subrina Charm and Subrina Colour Cream are now further improved upon, more intensively red and longer lasting.

Dry skin is more demanding as far as its care is concerned. Because of this type of skin's inability to produce the required amounts of oil which protect the skin, it's necessary to carefully moisturise it. It is not advisable to use ordinary soaps as they only serve to dry out the skin even more. What is recommended is the use of products which are designed purely for dry skin, as these contain extra moisturisers or oils. You can occasionally use shower products for normal skin, but you need to restore the skin's lost moisture through the use of body care products such as, for example, a moisturising lotion or a nourishing cream…in any event, you should reduce the amount of time spent showering and cut down on the amount of gel you apply to the body.

Our skin changes as we get older. During our different life cycles, our skin varies in its appearance and it also responds differently. Internal factors (such as stress, smoking, hormones) or external factors (such as cold, dry atmosphere, wind) can disrupt the balance of dry skin. For this reason it is necessary to protect the surface layer of dry skin in such a way which helps to safeguard the stores of water in the deeper layers of the skin. A suitable product for caring for dry skin after showering is a rich, more greasy cream or milk. Mainly in the winter, when the skin is dried out more than usual, apply it to the body in the evening and in the morning. We recommend Subrina Flexible body milk or Subrina Nourishing enriched cream.

All three products are emulsions, which differ amongst themselves according to their structure, type of emulsion and consistency. What the emulsion consists of depends on the ratio between the oil components and water. Usually lotions contain less oil, whereas creams contain somewhat more. But this is not the standard rule, as there are some very light creams available on the marketplace which contain lesser amounts of oil. We advise that you use a product which is most suited to your particular type of skin, provided it offers everything that your skin needs; moisture, smoothness and firmness.

Body Butter is an enriched cream which acquired its name because of its consistency and the beneficial ingredients from which it is composed. The cream lightly lubricates so that skin, in need of care, quickly and effectively absorbs it and there is no greasy after-feeling. The main ingredients of Body Butter are natural waxes or butters respectively, such as bees wax, cocoa butter or shea butter. These are natural moisturisers, which have a soothing effect on dry, cracked and inflamed skin.

We suggest the use of SUBRINA shampoo for dry hair and damaged hair ends in combination with conditioner. Both contain cotton, which restores the hair's softness and manageability. In the event that your hair is very damaged, we suggest that some of the time you substitute the conditioner with the mask for damaged hair and split ends. Rub in 2-3 droplets of SUBRINA fluid for damaged hair and split ends onto wet or dry hair ends and then style the hair. This fluid contains silicone and vitamin E. The silicone smoothes the epidermis of the hair and the ends of the hair, while vitamin E is a natural antioxidant which protects the structure and colour of the hair. Subrina fluid restores the hair's elasticity and shine.

Conditioner »closes« the epidermis of the hair and simultaneously regulates the hair and scalp's natural pH.

The basic function of conditioner is dependent on its composition. It contains a cation-active substance which is especially attractive to keratin fibres due to its chemical structure. The cation-active substance forms a thin, smooth protective film on the hair's surface which maintains the hair's shine, its smooth appearance, improves combing of both wet and dry hair as well as preventing static electricity of the hair. The hair-caring substances found in conditioner penetrate deep into the hair and strengthen its structure so that it becomes strong, flexible and manageable.

We recommend that you use a combination of SUBRINA RECEPT anti-dandruff shampoo and intensive anti-dandruff lotion, the combination of which is highly effective in getting rid of dandruff. At the start of the »cure« you use this combination twice a week (for one month). After one month, have a break from using the shampoo and lotion combination and use only SUBRINA RECEPT anti-dandruff shampoo. However, after the one-month break we suggest that you once again start using the combination of the shampoo and the lotion. When the amount of the dandruff has diminished or you have got rid of it, you continue using just SUBRINA RECEPT anti-dandruff shampoo as protection against a renewed appearance of the dandruff.
